Kawartha Downs
Kawartha Downs is a harness racing and slot machine gaming facility in Fraserville, Ontario, just five minutes from Peterborough on County Road 28, just south of Highway 115.
The 2006 racing season at Kawartha Downs proves to be a turning point in the history of the track. As approved by the Ontario Racing Commission, beginning January 1, 2006, Kawartha Downs will race Tuesday afternoons, 4 pm post time, and Thursday evenings, 7 pm post time. The change in the schedule is a departure from the traditional Saturday races.
Kawartha Downs is also home to over 375 slot machines in $0.05, $0.25, $0.50, $1.00, $2.00, $5.00 denominations.
